In the tables below, we have taken common items that we all buy and have converted their fiat dollar price to real money 90% silver dime equivalent. Why did we chose 90% silver? Well, everyone needs to have some 90% silver as a lowest common denominator. Pre 1965 dimes, quarters, half dollars and dollars have 90% silver and are commonly called Junk Silver. We certainly would not be going out to buy a can of coffee with a ounce of gold (well, most of us would not want to – I do love my coffee).
